Dale Allen Gyure on Minoru Yamasaki, Michigan Modern, and Detroit

The New York Times Style Magazine recently published an article on "How Michigan Became the Epicenter of the Modernist Experiment",  including commentary on "The Plant" (The Ford Plant by architect Albert Kahn), "The School" (Cranbrook by architect Eliiel Saarinen) and "The Architect" (prolific architect Minoru Yamasaki), and "The City" (Detroit).

SAH member Dale Allen Gyure's biography of Yamasaki is quoted in the article and Yamasaki, among others' role in Detroit.

Dale Allen Gyure has been an SAH member since 1993. He has served on numerous SAH committees and was on the SAH Board of Director from 2013-2016.
