Marietta Cashen Marsh passed away peacefully in her home in Winnetka, IL on May 14th, 2014, where she lived for 50 years. She died of cancer. She was born in Grosse Pointe, MI on January 30, 1936, where she was raised, spending her childhood summers in Guilford, CT. She graduated from Endicott College in Beverly, MA in 1955. While attending Endicott College she met her husband, Jeremiah Marsh, Harvard '55/Harvard Law '58, who was a Chicago lawyer and political consultant until his death in 2004. She worked as a teacher's aide at the elementary, middle and high school level in Wilmette and Winnetka. She served on the Endicott College Board of Trustees for over twenty years, until her death. She was also a member of the Society of Architectural Historians and the Chicago Botanic Garden. Mrs. Marsh had been a member of SAH since 2005.
