Save the Date: NYBG Study Day

On September 25, 2015, SAH will present a Study Day at the New York Botanical Garden (NYBG) with the theme “Urban Oasis.” Vanessa Bezemer Sellers, Ph.D., humanities research coordinator at the New York Botanical Garden Humanities Institute will lead the Study Day. The program will include viewings of original maps, plans, and architectural drawings at the NYBG’s Mertz Library, as well as specialist-guided walking tours of the Native Plant Garden, old-growth Thain Family Forest, Enid A. Haupt Conservatory, Peggy Rockefeller Rose Garden designed by Beatrix Farrand, and more. A detailed description and itinerary will be available in the coming weeks. A fellowship will be available for eligible SAH members. Registration will open on June 16.
