The Society of Architectural Historians invites nominations and self-nominations for two individuals to serve on the Journal of the Society of Architectural Historians Editorial Advisory Committee for a term of four years starting May 15, 2020. The Editorial Advisory Committee advises the Journal’s editor and assists them in promoting the Journal to potential readers and authors, suggesting to the editor peer reviewers and acting as peer reviewers. Members of the Editorial Advisory Committee shall provide advice to the editor, who maintains final decision-making authority. The Committee will meet at least once a year with the editor at the Society’s Annual International Conference and by conference call periodically. Members of the Editorial Advisory Committee volunteer their services to the Society without compensation.
Candidates must be current SAH members, may not serve simultaneously on the Society’s Board of Directors, and may not be serving as editor of a competitive journal or serve on the editorial board of a competitive journal. Members may not publish their own work in the journal during the term of service. Nominators should ascertain their nominee’s willingness to serve before submitting a name; self-nominations are also welcome.
Please send a statement describing the nominee’s or your own qualifications for appointment, a CV, and contact information to Beth Eifrig at beifrig@sah.org by January 31, 2020.
