In July of this year the Society of Architectural Historians was awarded a Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) Loan of approximately $123,000 from the U.S. Small Business Association. Designed to help small businesses weather the economic storm caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the funds are part of the CARES ACT which will help SAH continue to keep its staff fully employed through the end of the calendar year. Many fellow learned societies also were able to secure these forgivable federal loans which will help us continue to serve our members and constituents who were, likewise, negatively impacted by the worldwide economic downturn in the first half of 2020.
