SAH Archipedia: New and Updated Virginia Content and New Thematic Material

New and updated Virginia content has been added to SAH Archipedia. Richmond’s Monument Avenue entries have been updated by Richard Guy Wilson to reflect the successful efforts of the ongoing anti-racism protests in the removal of statues memorializing Confederate veterans. Wilson has also contributed a new essay, “Revisiting Virginia Architecture: Notes on Overlooked African American Contributions and Other Developments,” and six related entries to expand the Virginia content in SAH Archipedia.

New thematic material includes several essays and related entries: “Building a National Network: Telephone Buildings in the United States” by Kathryn Holliday, “The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) Red Line Subway Structures” by Caitlin C. Hart, and “The Land-Grant Campus” by J. Philip Gruen.
