The Society of Architectural Historians is pleased to announce that guided tours of the Charnley-Persky House will resume on Saturday, August 7, 2021. The National Historic Landmark, designed by Louis Sullivan and Frank Lloyd Wright in 1891–1892, has been closed to the public since March 2020. The Charnley-Persky House serves as the headquarters of SAH.
Tours are offered every Wednesday and Saturday at 12 pm and on Saturdays at 10 am (April–October). Tours last 45 minutes and include the interior and exterior of the building. Wednesday tours are free. Saturday tours are $10 for adults and $8 for seniors (65+) and students with an ID.
Reservations are required for all tour participants, and space is currently limited to eight individuals to maintain safe distancing. Visitors must be aged 12 and up. We require masks for all participants, including a temperature check prior to the tour. The health and safety of all tour participants and staff are our highest priorities.
