The Latrobe Chapter of SAH, located in metropolitan Washington, DC, offers a $1,000 conference travel grant to graduate students (MA and PhD) and emerging professionals/recent graduates whose research centers broadly on the topic of architecture and politics, including but not limited to issues of practice, education, representation, and power dynamics. Applicants are NOT expected to present a paper at the conference nor pursue research related to Washington, DC or American national politics more broadly.
The 76th annual meeting will take place on April 12-16 in Montreal, Canada, and will feature paper sessions, roundtables and workshops, architecture and landscape tours, networking receptions, and more. For more information, visit https://www.sah.org/2023.
To apply for the 2023 SAH Latrobe Chapter fellowship, please submit the following materials:
(1) a statement of interest, not to exceed two double-spaced pages, explaining how your studies or professional work will be enhanced by attendance at the conference;
(2) a brief 2-page CV;
(3) the name, e-mail, and telephone number for a professional reference.
