A successful preservation plan is not just a product, it’s a process. Developing a plan includes assessing your program, creating a vision, establishing priorities, and implementing an action plan. Outreach is also essential since a relevant, meaningful, and achievable plan requires input from your community. This webinar will begin with a review of the key components of a preservation plan and the process to complete one. Next, planners and a consultant from Austin, TX; Chicago, IL; Madison, WI; Plano, TX; and Wake Forest, NC will share their experiences with preservation planning from getting started to implementation, including advice for creating inclusive, community-oriented plans.
